Crested Butte Film Festival Trailer. LOOK UP. 

An "intro" trailer cut for the Crested Butte Film Festival. I met the director of the Crested Butte Film Festival after being a stand-in on a Colorado Tourism Board commercial where he was my dad, and I still call him that, as I am his screen-son, and so proud. 

Their process is different from Mountainfilm's because frankly Mountainfilm has the ability to provide a 100GB - 2hour HD cut of footage from the films themselves, providing moments actually from the film, requiring quite a bit of man power. Here, we made a cut from the trailers online, so we were compressing and cutting and then exporting and compressing already YouTube compressed data. 

Almost shamefully though, it works darn well, although limiting the length of clips to really use the footage how you wish. 

I really enjoy these intro edits because there;s a solid deadline and it's a constant challenge to, with absolutely no direction, find a song, concieve ofthe edit, look at the footage you have access to, and try and make something that is going to titilate an audience watching it of the films available to them. I'm not an expert or guaranteed to make something awesome, but I will definitely try really hard to make it as cool as possible.
